Respira Labs

UC Berkeley

Respira Labs is developing the first wearable device to measure “trapped air,” an early marker of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). By leveraging the power of non-invasive acoustic sensors, audio signal processing, machine learning and lung resonance analysis, our device will fundamentally revolutionize COPD management by predicting and preventing attacks at the patient’s home, significantly improving health outcomes and patient quality of life while dramatically lowering health care costs.
